Yeah, they certainly could be the same. I have quite a few Saint Francois county cemeteries I am trying to pinpoint the location for. Many I have listings for (taken from the web), but I don't have a location. One is Ortenville Cemetery. Mike, The old McKee-Highley Cemetery is located on State Street in Desloge, Mo. A cousin and I, Ron Highley, are working to preserve what is left of the old Cemetery and what few stones remain, although most have been moved and do not sit in the correct place any longer. With the help of some of the folks in the community, we will work to correct some of the issues. There have been several articles in the Daily Journal in St. Francois County regarding our efforts and another one is due to come out soon. Half of the Cemetery has been destroyed and a business has covered it with a driveway. Truly a sad situation. I have copies of the plat, the newspaper articles, the tombstones that remain and a picture of William Madison Highley, who is buried there. If yu are interested, let me know and I will forward those off line unless anyone else has an interest. If you have looked at the Find A Grave website, you will find the Cemetery and some of those that we know are buried there. Are you related to either of those families?
