The Battle of Pilot Knob re-enactment will be held Sept. 24-26, 2010, at Fort Davidson State Park in Pilot Knob [Iron County]. There will be camp tours, demonstrations, a Civil War era grand ball with music by the 52nd Regimental String Band, mock battles, drills, and crafts. Actors, Patrick Curtis and Mickey Kuhne, who both played Beau Wilkes in the Civil War classic, “Gone With the Wind,” will sign autographs. The important battle took place on Sept. 27, 1864.

Sounds great. Maybe some day I will attend.
