Hello, I'm a former Missouri Boy who needs some help in St. Francois Co.  I'm trying to prove that my ancestor, Lilly/Lilian Cunninham was a daughter of James Cunningham, Sr. A little background info: James Cunningham Sr was born ca 1756 in Augusta Co, VA Married Elizabeth Gillespie Moved to Missouri, St. Francois Co sometime before 1802 Served in the Revolutionary War - per the 1840 Census of St. Francois Co, MO Died in 1844 in St. Francois Co, MO I only have circumstantial evidence that Lilly/Lilian was a daughter of James, Sr. that being: 1) Lilly was From Farmington, St. Francois Co (Location fits w/James Sr) 2) She as born ca 1801-1807 (Age fits w/James Sr's children) 3) She was born in Tennessee (This fits with the rest of James Sr's children) 4) Several family trees of James Sr make the statement "James, with his wife, 7 sons and possibly 3 or more daughters, arrived in what was later the state of Missouri" 5) Only James Sr. and his known descendants appear to be the only Cunninghams in the Farmington, St. Francois Co are in the early (1830-1840) Censuses. There appears to have been no will for James Sr.  I am wondering if anyone on this list would be willing (for a fee, of course) to go to the courthouse in Farmington and check for his estate papers/packet.  These often include a list of heirs.
