Wanda, It's located off of Highway 32 which runs between Bismarck and Elvins. You turn right if you're headed toward Bismarck. I believe maybe it's Old Irondale Road that you turn on. Gosh, for the life of me I cannot understand why this message that I posted on Wednesday, January 21st, is just now coming across the List. Rootsweb and their new message board system, sure leaves something to be desired. As any rate, I have found LEOMA KETCHERSIDE. She was the second wife of JOSEPH WOODSON KETCHERSIDE. I do not have a marriage date for she and Joseph. LEOMA is the daughter of BOSCH BOWEN and wife MARY BOWEN (yes, I realize that Mary has the same surname as her husband, but that is how it is listed on LEOMA's death certificate. I have found Leoma's death certificate on the Missouri Death Certificate Records, as well as Joseph's and also his first wife Lilie Etta McFarland. I will post the three links here for any one who is interested. NOTE: on Joseph's Death Certificate, LEOMA is listed as OMA Ketcherside. LEOMA (transcribed as Leona but certificate says Leoma) http://www.sos.mo.gov/TIF2PDFConsumer/DispPDF.aspx?fTiff=/archives/DeptofHealth/Death/1950/1950_00038205.TIF&Fln=1655168.pdf JOSEPH http://www.sos.mo.gov/TIF2PDFConsumer/DispPDF.aspx?fTiff=/archives/DeptofHealth/Death/1956/1956_00039169.TIF&Fln=2307381.pdf LILIE ETTA http://www.sos.mo.gov/TIF2PDFConsumer/DispPDF.aspx?fTiff=/archives/DeptofHealth/Death/1942/1942_00025202.TIF&Fln=992852.pdf Joseph Woodson Ketcherside is the son of William "Preston" Ketcherside and 2nd wife, Sarah Jane Pouilon, Grandson of Abijah Ketcherside and Margaret Jane Cox, Great Grandson of Thomas Ketcherside and Nancy Cooper. Joseph and Lilie Etta (McFarland) Ketcherside have two daughters that I know of. Nadine and Louise Ketcherside. Lilie Etta died in 1942. I do not believe that he and Leoma had any children. Leoma died in 1950 and Joseph in 1956. If any one has any further information on these family members, please contact me privately at: ograndma1@sbcglobal.net Thank you, Joyce ----- Original Message ----- From: "Joyce D Wafford" <ograndma1@sbcglobal.net> To: <mostfran@rootsweb.com> Sent: Wednesday, January 21, 2009 6:55 PM Subject: Re: [MOSTFRAN] Partial listing of Hamilton Cemetery > Hi Melanie, > > Can you tell me who may have handled the burial for the LEOMA KETCHERSIDE, > 1905 - 1950, who you have listed here? > > I would love to know which KETCHERSIDE Family she is related to. Thank you for that information. Your description puts the school in this general area: http://terraserverusa.com/map.aspx?t=2&s=12&lon=-90.51167&lat=37.87389&opt=1 In the Cantwell area. I've also heard the school is located near Highleys Spring in Desloge. Is anyone familiar with this historical spring? There was a large house they turned into Condo's. Sugar Maples I think the name was. It was smack dab in the middle of Highley Heights. Beverly Thrift is the best means of thriving. ~ Charles J. Check out this neat video of old time film footage of a Model T Ford assembly plant. It also mentions Model A Ford cars. My father, who was born in 1904 & grew up in St. Louis City, eventually had a Model A Ford. He told me once that he "souped" it up & had the fastest car on the block - it would do a whole 40 miles an hour! lol http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S4KrIMZpwCY
Try this website which is based around the name (perhaps the nearest P.O. on the census record?). There are maps from specific years. http://gazetteer.midwestplaces.com/mo/st-francois/ Cynthia McDaniel -----Original Message----- From: mostfran-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:mostfran-bounces@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of Mccthescot@aol.com Sent: Thursday, January 15, 2009 10:33 PM To: MOSTFRAN-L@rootsweb.com Subject: [MOSTFRAN] Plat Map I need a source, where I can obtain from California, for a Plat Map of St. Francois County, showing Township and Range grids, specifically Township 37 North and Ranges 4 and 5 East.
