Ste. Genevieve Herald Ste. Genevieve, Mo. Saturday, Oct. 21, 1882 ST. MARY ITEMS Last week Louis NAUMANN arrested here four young fellows, who were required to give bond for their appearance before Squire LAYTON on Saturday next. They had disturbed the rest of two women. One of them is said to have disappeared since. The two women have also moved away to an island between here and Chester. As a consequence Squire LAYTON will find it difficult to make his costs. Wm. SOLF was obliged to pass Sunday night in jail because he tried to break Alex LUNSFORD's head. Rumor goes that ZIEGLER will get the majority of votes in St. Mary at the coming election.
