    3. Ste. Genevieve Herald Ste. Genevieve, Mo. Saturday, Oct 28, 1882 The other day Louis MAURICE's daughter out at the mines wanted a drink, and, taking up a cup, which she thought was half filled with water, she filled it from the water-pail and drank the contents down. A few hours afterwards she was a corpse; the cup had contained a solution of concentrated lye. Mr. H.S. SHAW said at VANSICKLES' sale that Charley KLEIN and Hy. JOKERST were no Democrats but Republicans and as such voted at the Primaries and set their names to an affidavit. We presume the two men will be able to answer that charge to everybody's satisfaction. PUBLIC SPEAKING Hon. Firmin A. ROZIER, Henry S. SHAW and others, will address the citizens of Ste. Genevieve county, on Sunday Nov. 5th, 1882, at St. Joseph's church. Best refreshments will be kept on hand. Come one, come all. Chas. OBERMUELLER
