    3. Ste. Genevieve Herald Ste. Genevieve, Mo. Saturday, Aug. 18, 1883 CORRESPONDENCE From St. Mary, Mo. Peter LALUMENDIERE and Mrs. MORRIS were united in matrimony last Monday. As the lady was not a Catholic, and Peter objected to her faith, she consented to be received into the bosom of the Catholic Church. Peter had to treat a keg of beer on Tuesday evening. The Perry county health springs are visited every Sunday by numerous health and pleasure seeking tourists from different regions, sometimes to the number of several hundred. Last Sunday crowds of visitors from Chester, Sparta, Perryville, Ste. Genevieve, St. Mary and St. Louis flocked to the Springs, and the hotels did a roaring business, which is but natural; man cannot live of water alone, be it ever so magnetic and healthy. G. ***** Jonca, Aug. 8, 1883 Mr. Editor: I enclose you a few lines, which you may publish in your next issue if desired. On Aug. 4th inst. a little farmer made his appearance at the residence of Mr. Robert HORTON; the little agriculturist weighed 6 lbs. Mr. L.D. SMITH has lately traded his farm on the old Plank Road for the T.C. HAYNES farm. I have failed to get the last three numbers of the Herald. I do not think that my time has expired, but, if so, let me know and I shall send the money. Yours Truly, M.
