I am trying to find info on a Mrs. Charles Menard referred to in a couple of obituaries, the last being in 1942 of her brother William A. Miller in Illinois. Anybody know anything about any Menards? She's quite a mystery. The obituaries refer to her as living in St. Mary's, MO. She could be Hallie or Holly Miller -- or not! Don't know where to start with research in the St. Mary's (is that even spelled right?) area. I'm in St. Louis County. Any helpful hints would be greatly appreaciated. I will be eternally grateful for anybody who can ID Mrs. Charles Menard. Thanks for your time! Hi Melissa, St. Mary's is now called just St. Mary. I have a couple of books purchased from the Perry County Historical Society. One titled "Immaculate Conception Catholic Church Records St. Mary, Missouri Ste. Genevieve County" has a reference to Jean L. Menard who married Louis J. Meyer Feb 13, 1938. Jean's parents were Charles & Hallie (Miller). I'm afraid that is all the information I can find on Hallie Miller. The other book I have on St. Mary is titled "The Cemetery at St. Mary, Mo Ste. Genevieve County". There is no reference to either Charles or Hallie in it. Sorry.
