Merritt's son Martie W. CAVES married Beulah SIMMONS in Greenbush Illinois. (Greenbush Illinois was nearly all SIMMONS Families) What brought Martie to Greenbush Illinois? I have found out that the COLEs, WHITLEY's, HATFIELDs, and CAVEs were all related in the St. Clair County and Butler County Missouri areas. I would enjoy taking a look at some of your line's information. >> Thomas, My very limited SIMMONS info is as follows: An unnamed SIMMONS married Estella May CLAPP. Estella was born 16 May 1889, Oklahoma panhandle area. Stella M. SIMMONS, Schell City Rural Route #1, (probable Estella May CLAPP) is listed as a death certificate informant for Charles CLAPP who died 27 Jan 1926, Schell City, Vernon Co., MO (Rural Schell City may have been in what is now St. Clair Co.) Charles is buried (Pleasant Grove Cem., Taberville, St Clair Co., Missouri) next to Maggie SIMMONS, “Mother” 1859-1938. Burial was ordered by Earl SIMMONS and C.H. CLAPP Buried nearby are Steva Ellen SIMMONS (22 Mar 1859-11 Nov 1937) and wife Kelly H. (29 Jul 1848-5 Jun 1917). Do these SIMMONS' appear in you records? Could you post anything else you might have on your SIMMONS'? Thanks, Daniel R.
