That was all new to me. Having John, Robert and Joshua Moses in the same place at the same time certainly adds significant support for our assumption of their relationship, in addition to the DNA "proof." As you suggested, I have worked the John Moses of Georgia (1746-1809) line for years, although I do not actually have a Moses line myself. But, I do have a large number of Moses cousins. In 1805, John Moses took as his second wife Anna (1785-1839), her maiden name unknown to me. They had three children during the roughly four years before his passing. After Johns's passing in 1809, the widow Anna Moses married Drury May (1783-1841), also in 1809, and they eventually became my 3G-grandparents. I have spent 30 years searching for Anna's maiden name, with absolutely no success. That is why I started digging into all the Moses information. As an aside, the record I eventually found of their marriage in some loose records at the Georgia Archives is quite interesting. John was 59 and Anna 20 when they rode up to a justice's home on his horse late one night. They woke up the JP, and were married. Thank you again for sharing the land location information. Great find! Robert E. "Bob" Johnston Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
