In 1840 he and his parents were living in Monroe/Polk Co. TN. I have done a YDNA test on his line and found that his line matches none of the known MOSES lines. But, he is a 67 marker exact match to the TALLENT line. SAMUEL MOSES was in Monroe Co. in 1830. I'm beginning to believe that my MOSES line is actually a female MOSES line who had children by a TALLENT. I believe that female may be a descendent of SAMUEL MOSES, but don't know his children.
