Chuck Higdon Subject: Re: [MOSES] Nancy Moses who married John Higdon I had forgotten to copy the list when I just wrote to Chuck the following: "Chuck, I see the marriage info in North Carolina for Nancy and John, but it doesn't identify her parents -- at least not with what's shown online anyway. Looking at family trees for Nancy Moses and John Higdon, all but two of the ones I see at Ancestry.com show Nancy's parents as David Moses and Nancy Long. The other two show her parents as other people, but also show her being born after she was married, so they are obviously way off track. One way to try and verify if David Moses and Nancy Long are her parents would be to try and find wills for one or both of them, and see if they identify her as a child -- preferably with her married surname if they survived her. There are some people on this list who are researching a David Moses, but I don't recall if he's the same David Moses, or if there were multiple David Moses's being researched. I'll take a look at the list archives and see if I find an old post that might be helpful. -- Mary D.
