> > >The max amount of time between Memphis and Rutledge or Gorin would be about >30 min. People tend to speed a bit, but these are two way country roads >that might have a tractor going between fields. You usually don't have them >going 80-85 mph. > And that's if you get really lost. It took me this amount of time only because I was visiting the Buskirk Cemetery and they had changed some of the dirt road around enought for me to get lost. To get to the Concord Cemetery from Memphis usually takes me about 5 to 10 minutes, depending if I miss the sign. > >Kirksville is approx. 30 min from Memphis and Quincy, IL is approx. an hour >away. It just seems longer since most of what you see is farm land and >cows. > It takes me about 45 minutes to get to Kirksville from Memphis if I use 63 through Lancaster. I usually take 15 to J then to Kirksville. Cuts my time nearly in half. From where I live (Keokuk, IA), quincy is a good 30 to 45 minutes away. I'd say it is close to 1 hour + from Memphis. BTW I tend to be a lead foot on the back roads so your time may vary. > >I used to live in Knox County. > I spend the first 18 years of my life in Memphis and it's surroundings. I still go there about 4 times a year to visit my uncle who still resides there. I'll probably be returning around Memorial Day to visit as many of the cemeteries that I know relatives are buried in.
