JA, Thank you for such a great description of Rutledge. I can almost see it. Alberta Anderson -----Original Message----- From: J.L. Absolutely there is a Rutledge in Scotland Co. You can stop at Zimmerman's Store for a cup of coffee and a doughnut on your way to the big Flea Market and Dog and Gun Sale, or you can buy fabric for a quilt, or groceries, or a multitude of other items at Zimmerman's, you can buy stamps at the Post Office, get your car checked at the Rutledge Garage, visit the Rutledge Meat Market, help with the restoration of the Rutledge School, go to church on Sunday, etc., etc. The Santa Fe RR also runs through Rutledge but doesn't stop there anymore. It is a small but active village. I'm probably forgetting something, so some of you Rutledge residents can add what I've missed.
