She was born in Clark County, but was married and lived in Scotland County in the Arbela area. There are also a lot of Pruitts who lived in the Rutledge area, and it's possible that my Mary Catherine came from their line as well since one of them, a Laborn Pruitt, was living in Clark County about the same time she was born, and he had a daughter named Mary "Callie". Since Callie is a common nickname of Catherine, it is possible that they are one and the same. I have a good sized gedcom I received from one of the relatives of the Rutledge Pruitts if you want it, though I can't swear to its accuracy. -- David Shelton Ancestory website http://www.interl.net/~davestoy/des/aqwx.htm Researching the surnames of: BILLS CLARK CLINE FRUIT/FRUITT/PRUITT HOBSON RUSSELL SHELTON SMITH WILLIAMSON GOLLIHER Have information for: ALBRECHT/ALBRIGHT DEAN/DEEN FAUST/FOUST ROCKHOLD TENNEY/TINNEY UNDERWOOD

    3. Dave, I came from Rutledge and I often heard my mom talk about the Pruitts, I believe she was a little related to them somehow. I have the Kintner, McCoy, McMillen, Lingenfelter on my mothers side, and the Lowe, Garwood, on the other. Am going to Mo. today so will check with my dad (95) who would know more about the Pruitts. The first name in that file I have is a Samuel Pruett who married aCathrine Wideman both unknown dates but probably born before 1783 since their first child, a James Pruett was born about 1799, and this family line does go to Rutledge. -- David Shelton Ancestory website http://www.interl.net/~davestoy/des/aqwx.htm Researching the surnames of: BILLS CLARK CLINE FRUIT/FRUITT/PRUITT HOBSON RUSSELL SHELTON SMITH WILLIAMSON GOLLIHER Have information for: ALBRECHT/ALBRIGHT DEAN/DEEN FAUST/FOUST ROCKHOLD TENNEY/TINNEY UNDERWOOD

    3. Dear Dave, In any of your Pruitt research have you come across an Esau or Diona Pruitt (various spellings)? Thank you for your help.
