His grandfather, Garland Ferdinand Carter was the son of Mary Anna Fordney Carter. I have a letter to Ferd from his cousin Wilda Walling from Oklahoma. I have scanned this as a picture if you are interested. It took me a while to make the Walling connection to the Fordney's. I also have a picture of Uncle Jim and Aunt Sarah Woodsmall and I am not sure of the Fordney connection. I have quite a few pictures that Clayton's grandmother did not have labeled.
