You're a certifiable P-E-A-C-H ! ! ! God Bless your dear late GORDY/KINNEY/REED women! The obituary adds a lot of information and validates and enhances information I had written down from my grandmother and her cousins! I had only just written that that kind of "lore" is the best even it cannot be proven with court records. Oh, we might correspond. REEDs married into my COOK line and collateral COX line. Thanks again! I have had Bruner's connected to my BARKER line; but going through some of my BRIDGES data, I found an obit of James Robert Shobe, son of John and Jessie (BRIDGES) SHOBE. Listed is a sister, Ida Bruner, who resided in Holyoke, Colorado. (1957) Jessie Bridges was a sister to my grandfather, William Green Bridges, another sister, Mary Ellen Bridges, married William Gray REED. William Green Bridges, Mary Ellen and William Reed died in Tulare County, California. Theresa BARKER, my grandmother, married William Green Bridges and Harvey Hover. Any connections? OK, NOW I AM JUMPING IN HERE!!!!! I noticed you mentioned Barker's. My Barker's came from Kentucky and my great great grandmother was Laura P. Barker who married John James Norton. Is there a connection? I have Laura's father as Stephen Barker. I don't have my family tree open at the moment but I can get more info for you if you like. Gene My Reed family is William B Reed and Sallie A (Higbee) Reed. The REEDs connected to the COOK and COX families are connected to mine but I have not discovered just how. I do have clippings on some of the COOK and COX people though if you'd be interested. Also on some CRAWFORD and FRYREAR. Bonnie
