    3. J.A. Gordon is listed as a Scotland Co. doctor [no date given] in "Town Called Memphis" (Dodge), date of diploma 2 June 1896, received at Kansas City, MO. J.A. Gordon is also listed in the same book as a student at the Northeast Missouri Business College at Memphis during the winter of 1891-1892. If this isn't your ancestor, you might check the records at Keokuk, IA. Several Scotland Co. doctors in the early years received their training at Keokuk.
