    3. Your post was of interest, but along a collateral line of my own family tree/research. One William HICKS, eldest sibling of TWO of my great-great-grandmothers as it happens, married a PELL in Tennessee, Kentucky, or perhaps Northeast Missouri. William HICKS b 12 Feb 1823(Greene Co., TN) md 26 Dec 1848 one Nancy Elizabeth PELL b 15 Sep 1832(IN) d/o William PELL b 1792-1800 NY & Anna MORRIS b 1805-1806 MD. Nancy Elizabeth may have had two sisters, Nancy Jane PELL and Sally Ann PELL. It is believed Jane md James W./James Townsend WHITAKER and Sally Ann md 25 Jun 1850 Schuyler Co., MO, one Marshall SMILEY. James and Jane's son Joseph WHITAKER 1843-1916 md 29 Dec 1869 Schuyler Co., MO, one Eliza C./Eliza Catherine Gross/GROSECLOSE 1855-1924 a first cousin of my maternal great-grandmother, Lizzie Jane GROSECLOSE FINCHER 1871-1919. The elder William Pell d 01 Apr 1877. His stone is found in Fabius Cemetery, Fabius Twp, Schuyler Co., MO. Is this your line? The HICKS-PELLs went on to rear their family in Kings Co., CA, and some of the WHITAKER-PELL line lived in Oklahoma. I wish you success with your book, it will be treasured by those awaiting its publication. Thanks for reading.
