Louisiana "Louisa" J. Miller. They were married 24 Feb 1850 in Memphis, Scotland MO. She was born 15 Jan 1829 reportedly at Elizabethtown, Hardin KY. Her brothers were Christopher A or H Miller born 3 Feb 1833 in Hardin KY and James H MIller (Not sure of birth date but Harden KY. All of them went to the same are in Scotland County MO and on to OR with James going in 1852 and Louisa/Wash's family and Christopher's family going in 1874. Do you have any information in your data bank about these Millers? Thank you muchly in advance for your help. Mary O. from Puget Sound
Hello, I know that there were Millers and Swanks in Loudoun County, VA in the 1760-1800 range. About 1800 many of the the families there moved. Some went to Muskingum Co., Ohio and some went other places. Millers and Swanks married into my Hanks and Jackson lines. Many of these people were originally Quakers and moved down to Loudoun Co., VA from Pennsylvania. My lines did not stay Quakers but converted to various traditional Protestant churches in Ohio. Scotland County, MO must have been very well advertised in the 1800s because my Hanks ended up there, as well as other lines from other places in Ohio. I hope this information can help you.
