Joan, Thanks for the imput. I know DAR and SAR approve of Nicholas Sr. although Nicholas Jr woould have been more the age. I just saw the flag and someone at the church told me that flags were placed for people who served in the war. I wondered who had determined Nicholas Jr. did.
