Since my recent Website post at www.bufordfamilies.com regarding my new up-date to the site I have been deluged with e mails asking why they were not invited to the Buford reunion that occurred last weekend. I myself did not know about it and would have been anxious to attend had I known about it. To whom may I refer all these people ???? Since I maintain the Buford Website they think it is my fault that I did not tell them about it. Need a little help here>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Fern K. Buford Walker

Hello Folks, Summer is winding down and I, for one, will be happy when the Fall weather arrives. It has been a few years since Grand Junction, Colorado (my home) has seen temps as high as they have been and for such a prolonged period of time. Thank goodness for AC's......... I have just completed another up-date to my Buford Website. www.bufordfamilies.com Come on by and take a look !! My best wishes to all, Fern K. Buford Walker
I am looking for descendants of Elijah D. McEndree and Nancy Lewis. They had nine children. They were: 1.Henry Martin McEndree who was my husband's great grandfather and he married Mary Goldsberry first and then Sarah H. Crowder second; 2. Terressa McEndree who married James Rogers Piper; 3. Elizabeth McEndree who I think married a John Daems or something like that; 4. J. Talbert McEndree or maybe called Isom and may have married Mary Elizabeth Loe; 5. Nancy McEndree born in 1839 in Johnson Co, Indiana; 6. Elijah, Jr. born in 1840 in Indiana; 7. Thomas McEndree born in 1842 in Indiana; 8. Mary Jane McEndree born in 1844 in Indiana; 9. Franklin McEndree born in Indiana and may have married Rosetta Budd. Henry and Terressa were the only two children of Elijah D. McEndree who were born in Henry Co, Ky. The rest were all born in Johnson County, Indiana. I am also looking for descendants of Sarah H. Crowder's family. Sarah was the second wife of Henry Martin McEndree. She was born March 26, 1846 in Allen Co, Kentucky and her parents may have been G.T. Crowder or Sterling Crowder and Permelila Seasmster. Sarah and Henry were married on April 23, 1871 in Schuyler Co, Mo. And she died on April 27, 1880 in Osborne Co, Kansas. I think that the McEndree's and maybe the Crowder's lived in Scotland County, Missouri for a time. Any help would be appreciated on these families. As a child I lived in Centralia MO, which is almost directly below Memphis MO on a map, about a hundred miles or so (down hy63 from Kirksville and over on hy22) There was/is a factory there, the ABC, the Chance Co., manufacturers of a speciality design anchor that cannot be pulled out of the ground. It is a strange looking triiangular spiral. The last of the Chance family I knew was Gano Chance. However, I am sure if you contact the company, or the Chamber of Commerce, for the number of the heritage group that maintains the Chance Gardens, you will find leads to the family today. In the process of my very good friend helping research my Baker family of Scotland County, she accumulated a large file of Bakers. Many of them in my master file are not directly related to me, but as we all know there were several UNRELATED Baker families in Scotland Co. and other counties of MO. If someone will send me their email, and the usual information they have (Name, dates, spouse name) I will search the master file, and send them a report if there is more information in this file. It can also be access (at least right now) through _http://www.genealogy.com/users/o/s/b/Melissa-Osborne-/_ (http://www.genealogy.com/users/o/s/b/Melissa-Osborne-/) as can some photos of my Scotland County Baker family. Hello all and Joanne Alyward, Does anyone know how to contact the Prairie View Methodist Church that is located 2 miles west of Azen? Do they have regular church services? I am planning a visit in early September and would like to know more about the church, its records (if any), and the church cemetery. I believe my ggg grandfather, Alan (Allen)Dolson donated the land for the church and that some family members may be buried there. Thanks. ************************************** Get a sneak peek of the all-new AOL at http://discover.aol.com/memed/aolcom30tour
