I recently set out to find out about the people who are buried in the Bible Grove Church of Christ Cemetery and fill in information in our plat book and now I am hooked. Joseph Jack Saulsbury is buried in the Bible Grove Christian Church Cemetery. I just happened to find that out because since Mary Susan button Salisbury Purvis is buried in the Bible Grove Church of Christ Cemetery and I was searching for information about her it lead me to Joseph. I don't know what all information you are seeking, but there is some information about the Salisbury and Purvis family's in a book that I have. The Purvis and Stice family's are in my family tree also. I might have some information of interest about the Stices also. I live in Memphis. Yes, I mean Missouri. I'm surprised. I thought Mary might be an older sister as Joseph was 21 and John was 18. I don't think Mary was was in her 30's (which I think she'd have to be to have been their mother), but I'll have to get out the census and check as I could be wrong. I know there is a website for the Morris family online and they show Salisbury/Saulsberry relatives, but they don't have any detail. I tried to find out about Mary and Daniel's marriage, and asked Joanne (with the genealogy society) about it, but there wasn't a record of it. I know that is an area to which a lot of people moved from other areas of the country so Mary and Daniel could have been married in another state. I really need to go look at her age on the census--if she is the mother of Joseph and John, that would put me a good track to find out their father's name. Thank you so much for replying. I've been trying to find the names of Joseph's and John's parents for over 20 years. Alfred's father James C (I think the middle initial stood for Chappell, his sword grandmother's maiden name) was an elder brother of my sword great-great-grandfather John Lewis Drake (1837-1922). Would you like to share information on our separate Drake research. Regards, Gene Bruner [email protected] Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
