I just got back from Mo. where I visited my 95 year old father and he owned land at one time near the Indian Creek Cem. The Tripplet family own land next to it now. I usually take 15 to J then to Kirksville. Cuts my time nearly in half. From where I live (Keokuk, IA), quincy is a good 30 to 45 minutes away. I'd say it is close to 1 hour + from Memphis. So if you see a dark blue Chevy S-10 pickup driving on the wrong side of the road. You know its me. Mainly for me going out there is to take pictures of the farm sites and tombstones. My great grandfather's brothers and sisters left Ohio and settled in Scotland county in 1854. I got most of the dope(s) from the L-post. Thanks to Mr Slavin and friends for the plats and other informations over rhe years. Ellen, I should forewarn you that the area is very remote and you may want to bring your sleeping blanket, just in case. Foods, portable cooking stove, and drinking waters too.
