There ia a Union down south on hyw 185 south west of saintlouis but no union in Scotland Co.Mo. Union is in Franklin Co. Mo. You might need to check old maps which they have for Scotland Co to see if there had been a union in that year. Good luck. Hello, I know that there were Millers and Swanks in Loudoun County, VA in the 1760-1800 range. About 1800 many of the the families there moved. Some went to Muskingum Co., Ohio and some went other places. Millers and Swanks married into my Hanks and Jackson lines. Many of these people were originally Quakers and moved down to Loudoun Co., VA from Pennsylvania. My lines did not stay Quakers but converted to various traditional Protestant churches in Ohio. Scotland County, MO must have been very well advertised in the 1800s because my Hanks ended up there, as well as other lines from other places in Ohio. I hope this information can help you. Sorry i must have sent my message wrong, Anyone wanting the info on the Fryrears, please e-mail me , Kathy in CA katlou5@earthlink.net
Am busy making 5 pies for dinner tomorrow but wanted to get a quick message to you. Interesting that the Fryear's descendants live less than 1/2 miles from the Smith family farm in Maxberg OR just out of Canby and a few miles from Oregon City. So some Millers, Smiths and Fryrears went to OR. I will recheck notes that I have looking for Christopher and James Millers' descendants. Aren't some people, especially elusive. Will be back in touch soon. This county is adjacent to Lee/Henry counties in Iowa where members of McArdle family seemed to gravitate -- Horatio & Collins settled there from Virginia in 1836; Charles & family lived in VanBuren Co in 1860; Rebecca returned to Lee co to deliver two of her children & was here for the 1860 census; daughter, Electra, married in Lee co in 1847 -- why???

First I am trying to find some Jobe who might be related to Harold Kermit Jobe or his spouse, Livinia Porter. Second, your Summers, might you have any relationship to Greenberry Summers or others in Putnam or other northern MO counties? And third, we are related to the Calvin Seldon & Thirza Mitchell Webber who are buried in the Brock cemetery. Several of their descendants are buried there also. Calvin Seldon Webber was a minister, but I don't know if the M.E. Church was where he preached or not. Any information we might share on ANY of the above would be of the utmost help.
Marilyn, sorry, I don't have any info on J. Copeland. However, I am researching for a friend the Buford family and the Copeland family is intertwined with them. At first I was looking in Reynolds County Missouri (southeast part of the state) -- then my search took me to Scotland County. What a surprise! I had been searching Scotland County for the Robinson family, my mother's line. Do you know what the J stands for? Or dates this person lived? or any other relatives' names?
