I am looking for family of the Robinson family who lived in the area of Lafayette and Saline Co., Mo. during the 1860-1930 time period. My g-aunt who is 92 remembers going to visit them with her father. She said they were a well-to-do family and lived in a big house on a farm close to Mt. Leonard. They possibly raised tobacco. The families were so close, that my g-grandparents first child was named Joseph Robinson Knott. Kimberly Knott

Chuck Gibson From: Sharon Prince To: ROBISON-L@rootsweb.com Message-ID: <375B3B4A.E9D6B6DE@dnvr.uswest.net> Subject: James and Martha Robison KY-MO Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Hi, I am researching James and Martha ? ROBISON (Robinson), both born in Kentucky (maybe Pulaski/Bourbon County), about 1799 and 1805 respectively. They married about 1820. The spelling Robinson seemed to be utilized after arriving in Missouri. James died in New Boston, Macon, MO. Their migration [directly or indirectly] was through Indiana, Illinois and then to Macon County, Missouri. Their children and birth years were: Nancy (25 Apr 1824 - 27 Nov 1885; born Indiana; married Raish Hoffit SWINK, 14 Sep 1841, Pulaski, Kentucky; second husband, Daniel HULL, 22 Feb 1878); Mary A. (1821 or 1825, Indiana; married ? BURK, about 1840), Martha I (1826?, Missouri?, married ? HULL, about 1848), William (1828 ?, Missouri?; married Mary Elizabeth MASON 3 Aug 1854, Macon, MO), Susan (1834 Ill; married William RUNELS, 28 Nov 1850, Macon, MO), Elmyra (1834 Ill; married James CANTWELL, 26 Nov 1853, Macon, MO), Armilda (1840, Illinois; married Jesse HULL 9 Aug 1857, Macon, MO; second husband ?, married 1860), Amanda (1843,Mi; married Oliver LEDBETTER 19 Sep 1855, Macon, MO), Lucinda C or G (1844, Missouri; married Charles Henry MASON; lived and are buried in Goldsberry/Ethel, Macon County MO; at the Helton Cemetery; these are my gggrandparents); Benjamin F. (1847, Missouri; married Mary ?, about 1867), and Margaret (1849, Missouri; stayed with parents). Is anyone researching this line? I'd sure love to hear from you. I am specifically looking for the parents of James Robison; the location in Kentucky where they were born; the family of Martha ? Robison and descendants of their children. Thanks so much.
