Hi Nancy....thank you so much for such a quick, and nice, response to the Miami, MO, diaries. I think you might particularly enjoy the 1893 "trip to the World's Fair" because my grandfather's traveling partner was Raymond EDMONDS (is he part of your family?) Meredyth
Hi Meredyth, Yes, Raymond is a distant cousin also. He was the son of Augustus Ralph Edmonds and his wife Ann Jane Saufley and brother to Gussie Edmonds named in the diary. I think Jane Saufley was the mother to Alice Foster. Alice Foster is listed as a dau. to A.R. and Jane. A. R. owned the Drug Store and is the Dr. named. A.R. was a first cousin to my gg grfather Ryland Edmonds. I sent your web site to my cousin, Tom Edmonds in Kansas City who is a descendant of A.R. Edmonds. I know he will certainly enjoy reading the diaries. He has a lot of history on his Edmonds but not those wonderful tidbits of info. THANK YOU so much for sharing those. Wib sounds like he was a very likeable fellow.
