The Peter Duffey in my husband's family was born in March 1843. In the cesus info. he shaved several years off his age every census. He married Orella Cumy Fisher about 1890. She was 18 years old, according to one census. They had 9 children, but only eight were living after 1910. The names of the children were: Leonard, Thomas, Tina, Ora, Lawrence, James, Margaret, and John. Leonard was born in 1910. He and Ora are the only children not named after William Peter's brothers and sisters. They are listed in the 1900 census in Ray , Co Missouri and in the 1910 census in Appanoose Co, Iowa. I don't have a death date for him.

Babler) and wife settled in Jefferson Township of Saline CO, MO in the mid 1850’s and added to their large family of 9 Swiss born children a daughter Berta (J?) Babler born in 1855 in Saline. The 1880 Federal Census shows a Berta J at the age of 25 married to a Christ Nivert (born 1853 in Wertemberg, GR?) and one daughter Luvenia at 1 year old living in Salisbury Township of Chariton CO, MO. Given the age and daughter name, I believe this Berta is the 1855 daughter of Mathias. Are there any clues to when Berta Nivert died and where she is buried? Are there any Nivert records or descendents? Curiously the 1880 census also shows yet another Christ Nivert born 1838 in Prussia married to a Babbler Nivert (b=1848 also in Prussia) and three children (Bettie of 1868, Willie of 1873 and Edna of 1879). Are there any clue on this second Nivert family? Thanks....gary babler Gbabler@aol.com

She had at least 3 daughters: Nora, Fanita, and Dorothy. I located them in the 1930 US Federal Census in Lafayette County, MO. There was also an Edna Schollie in the Kansas City area who may have been another daughter. Apparently Nora was born in Sweet Springs in Saline County. I have been unable to locate any other record of this branch of Schollies. I am a descendant of Nora, and would appreciate hearing from another member of the family or someone with clues.
