    3. Hi, Pat, My mom's Harrises were from Virginia. Her great grandfparents Mary Ann Smith Watkins and Ammon Harris. From the best I can figure out Ammon Harris and his children: Philip W. Harris, Samuel Harris, Josephine Harris (her grandmother), and sister Mary Elizabeth Harris (a.k.a. Mollie Singleton) moved from Virigina after 1850 and before 1860. I just reconnected with two Harris/Singleton cousins earlier this year as well as an Erwin cousin (Josephine Harris married Robert James Erwin) via some postings on Rootsweb.com. What were the names of the Harrises you grew up with? I would dearly love to find descendents of Philip W. Harris' son, Theodore Harris (and actually any of his descendents, too). According to some notes that I've found, my uncles Hubert and Walter Dilley gave the Harris family Bible to, "Uncle Phil's son Thee."
