Hello List: Still trying to locate Marshall Morton, Sr. before he is found in census and have had no luck. I have begun to wonder if his surname was originally MARTIN. I did find a Marshall MARTIN b Feb. 10, 1761 in SC. He is listed but not with a wife or children, only as a son. COULD THIS POSSIBLY BE SO!!!!!!! Could he have been a Martin? All this information is in WFT Vol.2, tree 3616. I would like for someone else to look at the information and tell me what they think. It could be the reason that Nelly did not move with her family when her parents left SC for Miss. Territory(ALA). If she was in a relationship with Samuel MARTIN could it have been something that her parents did not approve of? I guess I am wasting my time on this theory but it seems possible. Waiting to hear from the group. Patricia Camp-Mullis Marshall Morton,Sr./William M.
