Jane, I have a Joseph Daniel Morton born in Fannin Co., TX around 1820 - 1845. I know nothing of his parents. When I saw your post, I wondered if you might recognize my Joseph. He settled in Bell Co., Tx and married Mrs. Rachel Eugenia (Marshall) Heard in 1871.
