Married 1799 in KY. to William Frederick Bowen who was born 9/17/1803 at Mount Sterling, Montgomery Co., KY This Capt. John Morton was first married to an Amy. They had the following children: Joseph, Jehu, Mary, John, Isaiah, Sarah? Leviney, Amy ?, Jean or Jane, Jehu, Susanna. By his second wife Lucy Blakely he had the following: John, James Martha, Armistead, Nancy Joab, Hezekiah, Richard. Perhaps not a definite cousin, but we have a John Morton from New Brunswick,VA who went to Chatham (Cheatham) County N.C. I do not know who he married or the names of his children except our direct ancestor John Morton who married Annie Poe and had at least two sons who were John Morton Jr. and William Morton.
