I am researching the Morton Family originally from Chester Cty., PA. The family was Quaker and descendants moved to Cincinati, Ohio. Great-great Grandfather was John Rhodes Morton and his wife was Mary Hopkins. Is anyone out there researching this line? Family lore has it that this line is somehow connected to John Morton, signer of the Declaration of Independence, but I am not sure how that works. John Rhodes Morton's father was named John also. mary
