Martha, You weren't the one who asked about the Mortons from New England but for anyone else who reads this, it should be noted that there are plenty of Mortons from New England. I think that they may come from George Morton. The NEHistoric and Genealogical Society probably has the published lineage--from the beginning but til what era, I don't know. Our Mortons come from VA, so haven't delved into the NE branch.
