Elizabeth Battle MORTON was my 5g grandmother and b. 1768 probably VA. She m. James Storke STROTHER in Fairfax Co., VA in 1788. James was from Stafford Co., VA and Elizabeth supposedly the daughter of "Parson" MORTON. Even with her middle name (which I had thought was probably the maiden name of her mother) I can't find out about her parents. Melinda Larson
Do you know the name of the "Parson" Morton? I think that one of our family members was a parson, if that means a Rev/Minister.
