Hello LaFern, I don't have your James G. C. or his wife. However, I do have an Ephraim STEELE who married Frances MORTON on 8/26/1819 in Williamson County, TN. I don' t have anything else about them, but since they were in the area around the same time, I've put them in my files in case they ever fit in... They may have been related to your family. I've noticed that a group of MORTON's all seemed to have come from the VA/NC area around that time and settled in Williamson/Rutherford counties. I have also noticed that they must have known one another because I find records of them at one another's probate inventory records, etc. What county in NC did your family come from? Cindy
