    3. Hi Peggy thanks for your e-mail. Absolutely sure from a village named hamble then to hound in Southampton we started as far as we can be sure with Thomas MORTON born in hound parish Hampshire married16/04/1693 Elizabeth SAMBAR they mostly stayed in hound and Bursledon the name continued until at some point it changed to martin. The martin's change over happened around about the year 1830 the martins continue to this day in Southampton England there is a branch of the family that disappeared we can find no trace of them its possible they left the country what do you think of my story? Kind regards Ian -----Original Message----- From: P. 2. Thanks for the prompt reply, but unfortunately I don't have a Palmer in the bunch and was hoping for a male sibling. Isn't that just always the way!!!!! If I find anything at all, I will surely post it to the Morton board so that everyone gets a crack at it. In the meantime, good luck and again, thank you sooooo very much. Peace and blessings from Pittsburgh, Nina MORTON T.

    3. Barb, I am not aware of a Lovina Morton in my line. As far as I'm aware at this time, Elizabeth married and left all of her Morton family in Ireland. If I run into Lovina at any time, I will let you know. You might try the rootsweb databases. Good luck in your search.
