She was born on Oct 1 1924, in Massena, NY to Howard and Leila (Emmons) Green. She married Mearl Morse in 1946. She worked for many years as a nurse, and had been a home health care nurse for the State. Mrs. Morse was a member of First Assembly of God Church in Corning. Survivors include her husband, Mearl Morse; a daughter, Lorna (Donald) Pollock of Southlake, Texas; four sisters, Joyce (Clarence) Morse of Campbell, Beryl (Allen) Shirley of Massena, Marjorie (Rev. Daniel) Raught of Missouri, Mary (Rev Richard) Banach of Rainier, Wash.; two brothers, Lawrence (Ruth) Green of Corning, Elwyn (Margie) Green of Amsterdam. Grandchildren, Jonathan, Tammy, Tashya, and William; five great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Jacqueline Green of Vallejo, CA; sister-in-law, Sherin Akey of Mayfield; many nieces and nephews and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. She was predeceased by her son, Clarie Harvey Morse, and by her brother, Charles Green, Lyle Green and Cecil Green. Calling hours are 2-4 p.m. Sunday at Phillips Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 17 W. Pulteney St. Services will be held there at 11 a.m. Monday, the Rev. Al Craig officiating.
