I have an old letter box which dates from the 1750's and belonged to Samuel Morse (b. 1732). It and the papers in it have been passed down in the family since. My great grandfather, William Goodhue, placed a letter in the chest based on what his father told him about his great grandfather, Ebenezer, who married Anna Brown in 1806. I have pictures of Addison and Harriett Goodhue. I was wondering if you still have the Bible. I would be greatly interested in it if it is still available. I was also wondering if you have had any other contacts regarding the Bible. I have been unable to contact any distant cousins from that side of the family. Chuck, Re above, which you sent to the Morse message board: My question, is, do you know if your Samuel comes from Anthony Morse or his brother William? These as you undoubtedly know were from the Newbury Morses who came there in 1635. We may have conversed on this subject before. All four of my children were born in Beverly, MA. Don Beattie in Winthrop, Me.
