On the (soon to be no more) old software the L and D lists are treated as two different lists, under the new Mailman the list is one big whole, and L and D are merely modes within the ONE list. Since Mailman doesn't allow people to sub multiple times with the same address you can't sub the same address to both the L and D modes as it is considered a duplicate. Therefore, with the migration to the new software, if you are now subbed to the list in both list and digest mode you will automatically be removed from one of them. If you have a preference as to which one you really wish to receive then you should probably unsubscribe from the other one before the migration takes place.
