Morse, 65 years of 4270 Hornby Rd, Corning, NY entered into her heavenly home, Thursday, April 21, 2005. She had been a patient at the Robert Packer Hospital. She was born in Corning, NY April 28, 1939, the daughter of the late George and Catherine Quill. A life-time resident, she attened Corning Free Academy. Marlene and Ronald F. Morse was married March 18, 1978 in Campbell, NY She was employed at Web's Fish Market for 6 years and following she was employed for 10 years with Corning Inc., and for the last 15 years she had been administrator for Ron Morse's Contracting in Hornby. Marlene was a member of All Saints Parish, attending St.Patrick's Church and a member of Chemung Valley Old Timers. She enjoyed camping, bowling, her craftwork, her fondness for pets, her fun at casino's and she especially enjoyed decorating her home and yard with all the Christmas Lights Displays-on-Hornby Road. She was a loving, caring and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Her family was her pride and joy. She is survived by her husband of 27 years; Ronald, sons, Douglas (Pamela) Wood and Joseph Wood both of Painted Post, NY, daughters, Rhonda Wood of Rochester, NY, Helen (James) Guinnip of Coopers Plains, NY, Amy (Donald) Kessler of Rochester, NY, Kathryn (Henry) Thomas and Julie (Timothy) Shadeck both of Painted Post, NY. Step-children; Debra Campbell of Corning, NY and Jams (Bonnie) Morse of Campbell, NY, David (Eunice) Morse and Laurie (Timothy) Sly all of Addison, NY. 24 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Sisters: Irene (Gary) Brizzee of Harrisburg, PA, Step-sister; Linda Phillips of Corning, NY. Sisters-in-law; Phyllis Hamilton and Carol (Kenneth) Burnside all of Hornby. Niece: Diane Amidon of Syracuse, NY; also several aunts, uncles and cousins, and her beloved pet, Cookie. Family and friends may call at the Haughey Funeral Home, 216 E First St, Corning, NY Sunday, Apr 24, 2005 from 1-3 & 5-7pm. A Prayer Service will be offered at the funeral home, Monday, April 25, 2005 at 9am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30am St Marys Church. Committal Prayers and Interment will be held at the West Hill Cemetery, Hornby, NY The family will appreciate Memorial Donations be given in Marlene's name to Southern Tier Hospital.
