Surnames: MORSE, BROTHERS, SPURLOCK Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/UN2.2ACIB/1046.1 Message Board Post: James Bayliss Morse first married Margaret "Peggy" Ann Crider who died soon after Mary Elizabeth Bell was born. He married Josephine Bennett and Carrie Lee was born. He married Sarah Elizabeth McDowell in Feb 1870. James was born 3 Sept 1843 in Caldwell Co., KY. His father is William Washington Morse and mother is Matilda A Grubbs. His siblings are Mary Ellen, Susan Bell, Wiley Dollar, Thomas H., Meltzer Stevenson, Harmon Hayes, Sarah, and George. I am looking for his father, William W. because I think he started a second family in Kansas with a lady called Eliza and conceived my greatgrandmother, Mary Jane "Mollie" Morse in April 1970, then moved to Missouri.

    1. Kingsville OH Moss/Morse
    2. Cutshall
    3. Just a note for anyone in the Kingsville OH area. I have given the local library genealogy dept. a notebook with the information I had researched for the Moss/Morse families. Starting with the Ives and Elizabeth Morse(Moss) who are buried in the "Old" cemetery beside the church on Route 84 in Kingsville OH . It also contains some information on their ancestors.. The information contained therein is all noted as to where it was found. Also included are the Morse burials with the locations in the various nearby cemeteries. I am not connected to this line of Morse.....<grin>Got "sucked in" to the research from the Old Cemetery headstones and the fact the area was haveing a "centenial" celebration coming up. 1. Re: [MORSE] Re: MORSE-D Looking for Joseph MORSE, Sr. & Jr. Does anyone have them??
    2. Joseph Morse and Hannah Badcock were my 6th great grandparents. His parents were Joseph Morse and Hannah Phillips. Joseph Sr. was the son of Samuel Morse and Elizabeth Jasper. Joseph Morse, born 1649, had a first marriage to Mehetabel Wood. That was the marriage that produced son Joseph, born 25 Mar 1679 in Medfield. His second marriage was to Hannah Badcock who was born 8 Feb 1663/64. It was their daughter Hannah who was born 1689. I am confused by your note - having trouble following who had which children. I don't have a John Morse born 1662 or a Hannah Morse born 1710.
