I am presently investigating the following Daniel Morrow who was born about 1826 in McDowell County and died before 1870 in Lenoir, Caldwell County. Daniel Morrow and Jemima BENFIELD married Feb 15, 1851. She was born about 1828 in Lincoln Co., NC. She was the daughter of Daniel BENFIELD and Elizabeth PITTS. The known children are: A son named Sylvanus Morrow born in NC about 1856. A daughter, Elizabeth "Lizzie" Morrow born about 1858. A daughter Meary (Mary) Jane Morrow born about 1861. A son Wilnern MORROW born about 1862. The children are strongly hinted to have lived around Burke County, Caldwell County, Wilkes County or McDowell County. 1870 NC CENSUS, Lenoir Township, Page 9, Post Office: Lenoir (Caldwell County) Enumerated 12th day of August 1870. Line 20, 49 60 indicates Elizabeth as head of house hold, age 37 Line 21 William Morrow, age 11 Line 22 Emma M. Morrow, age 8 Line 23 Elizabeth BENFIELD, age 56 Line 24 50 61 has Jemima MORROW listed but not her husband. Jemima is age 40, keeping house, and the children are all listed as at home: Sylvanus, age 14 Elizabeth, age 12 Mary Jane, age 10 "Wilbern", age 8 In same Dwelling line 32 but another household William MORROW, age 17 Mary , age 22 1820 CENSUS of BURKE COUNTY Note: Caldwell County was not formed till 1841 indicates beside one another William Morrow and Nancy Morrow. Following is information obtained from Burke County, NC Marriage Bonds with the name MORROW:: Daniel MORROW and Rachel ROBERSON Mar 14, 1823 Anny MORROW and John H.
