Dear MonyaH; I bought the book "Morrows and Related Families" by Dr. J.T. Morrow. Sorry to say it does not help me, but it may help you. Your Morton's are in the book and so is Margaret Peggy McDill. As I am kinda computer illiterate, I don't do gedcoms, but I do have a copier and I can do that. Don't know if I have enough for you, but for myself I never receive enough, always looking for more. Give me an address, a snail mail types, and I will send it. Give me also a couple of weeks and I'll see if I have anything more. Will be good to help someone else. Take care and happy hunting......Margrie L Morrow [email protected] -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]]On Behalf Of [email protected] Sent: Wednesday, September 15, 2004 8:07 PM To: [email protected] Subject: [MORROW-L] PEDEN MORTON MORROW This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Known children in this family are David MORTON, John MORTON, William MORTON and Elizabeth/Mary MORTON. These families, originally from Scotland, initially settled in Greenville, Spartanburg and Chester counties, SC. The book, "The Peden's of America" is in the process of being updated by members of our family. I am heading up the "House of Jane" and would appreciate any and all input that will help move this project forward. Following the death of John MORTON abt. 1772, Jane married Robert MORROW abt. 1774 and had more children with him. Jane and Robert MORROW died in Morgan Co. AL.
