First off, do you have a Mormon Church in your area. They have the largest family library in the world. I believe you most likely have some of the same facilities as we do; Each church has a Family History Center. Thsey have books, films, and fiche and as a rule a wonderful staff that helps people to locate their ancestors. We now have the US Censusthru 1930. The Centers are volunteers and their charges are minimal. You also can find help in local libraries. If you can not understand me, try sending me an e-mail ]above]and I will try to help. Starting about 1800, mine went from eastern PA (Bucks county) to eastern Ohio (Belmont/Monroe/Noble counties), then spread across the midwest.
