Our family historian has always maintained that Andrew and Sarah had 7 sons that fought with numerous Iowa military units in the Civil War. They were George and William in the 15th infantry, Amos in the 4th Iowa Battery, John and Thomas in the 29th Iowa Infantry, Rozzell and Allen in the 15th Infantry. I cannot find any information on Rozzell and Allen. Rozzell was my great-grandfather. He was a fifer and joined the military from Glenwood in 1862 at age 15. His obit states that he was transferred to the United States Patrol Guards in 1864 until the end of the war. Some in our family also have a book from Mrs. Wiles.
