Perhaps if you knew the county in Ohio he was born? I'm Bill Morrow, Co-Administrator of the Morrow DNA Testing Project (worldwide). I suggest you join our Morrow DNA Testing Project. By testing your yDNA, you might match one or more of our current members and that would prove kinship. More hopes, that they had more generations back in their Morrow lineage and you'd be able to find Hugh's parents names. We have several donors whose roots include Ohio, so you might find a match with current donors, but sooner or later, a match will come along, DNA testing is here to stay. It's a great tool for genealogists. The way it works is that the DNA is passed from father to son(s) virtually unchanged for eons. So when two living males with the same or similar surname match yDNA, it is proof positive they share a common ancestor. His name is not known, but the lab can predict how far back he lived by the closeness of the match. The DNA sample is a cheek swab, simple and painless. A kit will be mailed to your address, you take the sample, mail the kit back. Tests take 6-8 weeks. You privacy is guaranteed. The test is ! for inheritance only, not a health or police type test, and therefore is cheaper. Currently it's $148 USA plus mailing fee, $2 in USA, Australia would be abit higher. That would pay for the yDNA 25 marker test which I recommend. There are numerous other tests available. Incidentally, I'm not paid anything, I'm strictly a volunteer whose hobby is genealogy. Here's the link to our website, click onto it and learn more about yDNA testing. http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~amorrow/morrowdna.htm Bill Morrow of Oklahoma USA Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
