My ancestor, William Morrow, died in Warren Co., TN c. 1828. His estate sale record was filed in January 1829. I believe he had a son named David and the first records I have for William are land transactions in Buncombe Co., NC from 1798 to 1807. I believe that he moved to Buncombe Co. from Newberry or 96 District of South Carolina. His family was closely associated with the Jays & Wallace/Wallis families and his daughter, Ann, married William Wallace on 12 August 1808 in Barren Co., KY. Any help to flesh out this Morrow family would be greatly appreciated. Jerry Spencer Grapevine, TX Janean Ray wrote: >I have Robert Morrow son of Rev. David Morrow of Carolina Co. I have a William Morrow b. abt 1756 in Camden S.C. I believe that Camden was also known as 96 District and is now Chester Co. S.C. I have no further information on him other than his father was David Morrow b. 1731 and married to Agnes White Crockett. William had brothers John; Joseph; Samuel; David; Adam; George; Richard; James; Thomas and sister Margaret. This Morrow line married several WYLIE's. I think we've talked before. I have no Wallis/Wallace but have Walker/Morrow marriage as well as a Walker/Wylie marriage. But am sure they have to be in the same families and I have no marriage for this particular William.
