    1. JOHN MORROW b. 1830 SC
    2. Any information would be appreciated: John Morrow b. 1830 SC. John was found on the 1850 Marion Co. GA census, living in the home of James Clark and his wife Elva (Elvina, Elvira). James Clark b. 1809 SC Alva b. 1811 SC Surname unkn. James came to Marion Co. GA in 1830 or earlier. James most likely gained his land from the 1827 GA Land Lottery. John did not appear on the following census. I have assumed that he had migrated on to AL and points west as many people did when in Marion Co GA. Question: Could John Morrow have any family connection to James Clark or his wife Elva? SC is a long way from Marion Co. GA located in the SW part of GA near the state line. Additional information: James Clark also had two Kidd children b. in SC living with him at the same time as John Morrow was in the household. William Kidd stayed in Marion Co. GA after marriage in c. 1854. His sister, Rebecca Jane Kidd, stayed in the Clark household until she married shortly after the 1870 census. She moved to AL. Nora

    3. I see so many questions about the Morrow's after S.C. so I thought I'd post this about my Joseph Morrow. After the death of his father, his mother, Jane Wylie Morrow moved with Joseph and family to central Mississippi. He was a vet of the Revolutionary War. His family along with several other Scots/Irish families all relocated about the same time (when the indian territories opened in Alabama & Miss. They went to Perry County, Alabama, where other family members had already settled. Whether or not Jane Wylie Morrow stayed in Perry County with other members of the family or died enroute to Neshoba Co. Mississippi with son, Joseph Morrow, is unknown. Joseph Jr. first paid taxes in Neshoba Co, MS in 1839. He could have been there a year earlier. His brother, David Morrow, first paid taxes in Neshoba Co in 1841. Only Joseph is listed on 1840 Neshoba Co. census. Settle southwest of Dixon, Neshoba Co. MS and owned a large farm. There he reared nine known children and one granddaughter. On his property, a cemetery was established known as the MORROW cemetery. Now, regarding the query about John Clark and his wife Elva (Elvina, Elvira). I have a Margaret ELVIRA Morrow b.1850 d/o David Morrow and Mary Wilson who were married in Perry Co. AL both being born in S.Carolina. They both died in Neshoba Co. MS. Margaret is the granddaughter of the above mentioned Joseph Morrow. Odds are this Elvira Clark is the Elvira Morrow Clark. There were just TOO MANY MORROW's arrrrrggggggg!!!!!!!!
