Samuel Mills Morrow lived in Pope County, IL during the period 1816 to early 1820's. He had a son, Thomas, and a Thomas later showed up in CA in the 1850 census. I'm not sure if this was the same Thomas. Would like more information. My grandfather was Henry Morrow, his father was Thomas Morrow, his father was Samuel Morrow from Illinois and the Joseph is as farback as I go. Two Morrow brothers came to Collin Co. Texas right before the Civil War.....both had married sisters (Brown) and settled just north of Dallas. My grandfathers father left his first wife and went to California where he raised another family with a new wife.....I have not been researching for years now and I am thinking about restarting. I have lots of information on the Morrows in Texas, New Mexico and Arizona.....please write if you think the Samuel Morrow from Illiiinois who went to the Calf. gold rush two times and mined enough to move his family to Texas.
